DAY TWO Process To Harvest “A Devotional Reflection” Pit-Stop

DAY TWO

MORE ON PRAYER

Note:  The several scriptural references are not so much for memory in one day, but rather for motivation on your journey as they were for me. However; hide them in your heart as the Lord Graces you to do so!

I. PRAYING (Continual Preparation) 1 Thess. 5:17

“17 Pray without ceasing.”

JUST 2 REASONS WHY PRAYER HAS BEEN SO ESSENTIAL IN THIS SEASON?

1. We Need Aware Workers in His Harvest

*Mediation Scriptures: (John 4:34-38; Luke 10:1-2)

“34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. 37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. 38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours. ~John 4:34

On this journey you will discover that hearing is the start, but eventually we have to see by faith the potential of what we have heard.

LUKE 10:1-2

“1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: PRAY ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.”

Again, the process must proceed and move into a desire to touch what we see. In prayer, God can use His people to grab hold of what is seen by faith, which is the Harvest He desires.

2. We Need Aware (Watchful) & Wise-Warriors that are in Harmony in His Church (We need each other’s back!)

*Meditation Scriptures: (Mark 14:32-40; Ephesians 6:10-18; Judges 6)

MARK 14:32-40

“32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray. 33 And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy; 34 and saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. 36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldestnot thou watch one hour? 38  Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words. 40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.”

There will be crucial moments of struggle between our flesh and spirit. Prayer will connect our spirit to the strength it needs from the Spirit of God and enable us to march forward to fulfill the will of our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.

Daily Prayers For Soldiers

EPHESIANS 6:10-19

“10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19 and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel”

While in this battle, we in the Holy Spirit can have an unwavering desire and devotion to pray sincerely on behalf of every brother and sister in Christ. With this kind of consistency I personally began to see results, and believe a wave of victory is moving through the Body of Christ. If you haven’t begun to walk this out, please start and encourage others to also, and watch God work!!!

Be Blessed!
